Our mission is to provide our customers the best services in terms of repairs, refurbishment and overhaul of Danieli equipment by installing original OEM parts and applying our unparalleled knowledge of the equipment and its operating functionality.

In fulfillment of our mission, and in response to many customers’ requests, Danieli has made the decision to open its own Service Center in the USA. This Service Center provides OEM quality repairs, parts and services, using OEM knowledge and technology, which our customers previously didn’t have access to in the USA. 

The Ashland, Kentucky area represents a central point serving the metals industry east of the Mississippi, and was a natural choice for our service facility. The location in Ashland, KY, is at the northeast corner of the state adjacent to the Ohio river, in the tri-state area between Kentucky, Ohio, and West Virginia. The facility is easily accessible via US23, US52, and I64. 

This state-of-the-art Service Center became operational in 2020, with facility and equipment investments ongoing:

— A vertical turret lathe with a 3-meter diameter, 50-ton load capacity table provides full support of turning pieces of up to 2.5-m height;

— A new boring mill, measuring 18m×4m×2.8m with a 180-mm boring quill and 50-ton load capacity for the rotary table;

— A new horizontal lathe, 7m between centers, 1.8-m turning diameter, and 20-ton load capacity;

— Submerged arc welding capable of handling any typology of casting rollers up to the downcoiler pinch rolls, and robotic chock welding.

The Service Center is supported by a highly experienced workforce from not only the Ashland region but also seasoned Danieli veterans from around the globe. 

With over 100 years experience in worldwide plant maintenance and operations, Danieli technicians and engineers have the experience to provide high-quality repair and service work, while offering technological upgrades to enable our customers to save time and money through reduced downtime.

The Ashland Service Center is configured to provide repair and service for the majority of Danieli equipment installed in our customers’ melt shops, casters and rolling mills, including:

— Mill stands 
— Shears 
— Straighteners (mills and casters) 
— Caster oscillators 
— Mill mandrels 
— Levelers 
— Gearboxes
— Segments
— Molds
— General Fabrication

Additionally, the Service Center has an area dedicated to the training of our customers in both maintenance and operational practices.

Not only are we working on the latest expansion for our Ashland workshop, but we are working on further expanding our US presence with new hubs to serve the Southern, Southeastern, and Northern areas of America.
