Installed in Zhangzhou, China the new grinding plant processes 350,000 tpy of stainless steel slabs -mostly in 400 Series grades.
The U-circuit grinding plant, which incorporates two grinding units featuring “Cast-t-Grind technology”, can process hot slabs up to 800°C in thicknesses of 200 and 220 mm and widths up to of 1.6-m.
Each grinding unit, equipped with an HGS300 main grinder with an installed power of 315-kW and a 160-kW edge grinder, is controlled by Danieli Centro Maskin “HiGrind system” to ensure the consistency of the removal depth, and monitor all processing and safety functions.
The “E-Cube - step-less variable grinding angle system” is included in order to provide full flexibility in managing the grinding recipes, a crucial aspect in stainless steel slabs conditioning.
Since 1967 Danieli Centro Maskin has supplied more than 200 grinding units for flat products, serving 120 plants worldwide.
