The scope of the Rajhi Steel project was to replace entirely the existing carbon steel cooling chamber with a new unit fabricated in stainless steel. This included engineering and supply of the new elements in stainless steel (structure, cladding, bending curves module, internal chamber steam suction duct, etc.).
Less than 11 weeks were needed for complete manufacturing of 55 tons of stainless steel material.
From the plant shutdown to the first heat took less than four weeks, including the following activities: complete disassembly, new civil works, new beams aligned by laser tracker, and complete reconstruction of piping inside the cooling chamber.
Close cooperation between the Rajhi Steel and Danieli Service teams allowed achieving a perfect unity in development and execution of the project.
Danieli Service offers effective revamping projects carried out with very short execution time.
