The new 20-high cold-finishing mill of Jiangxi Copper Company, in Nanchang, Jiangxi province, China, is set to roll a wide product mix of copper alloys.
The new 20-high rolling mill integrates advanced geometric optimization and automatic thickness and flatness control for high precision rolling and speed up to 600 m/min. It is equipped with a shifting system on the intermediate rolls as well as roll bending with roll thermal-crown control for accurate strip flatness.
Strip dimensions range from an entry thickness of 0.8 mm down to a minimum finish thickness of 0.03 mm, at a maximum strip width of 450 mm.
This new mill will boost the company’s capacity in premium copper applications, laying a solid foundation for expansion into markets for mobile phone technology and environmental related applications.
