The scope of supply covers design and installation of new lines and integration of automation systems with process controls, and revamping of the existing rolling mill configuration and finishing facilities for producing a wide range of low-alloy and special steel grades with a maximum steady rolling speed of 110 m/s.
The new line will produce a wide range of low-alloy and special steel grades, covering a range of wirerod products from 4.5 mm up to 25 mm diameters, with a maximum steady rolling speed of 110 m/s.
Execution will be carried out through different phases to minimize shutdown time, ensuring integration with existing equipment and planned operations.
The upgraded line is scheduled to start operation in second half of 2026.
The project confirms the strong collaboration between Abul Khair and Danieli, which in the past has completely modernized the existing rolling mill, installing new equipment together with state of the line automation systems for plant control. Abul Khair is also successfully operating the Danieli‑supplied meltshop, achieving excellent performance figures with two DC EAFs and one billet caster
